Some new film shots with Nikon F4

Well, this wordpress blog has been abandoned for too long since I sold all my cameras. I purchased a Nikon F4 last month but just got it in my hand yesterday. It doesn’t have some advanced features like my old EOS3(ie  automatic loading/unloading film, auto detect ISO speed), less autofocus points. but it has robust design having protection mechanism to avoid accidental setting. Both spot and matrix metering work accurately. Love it.

Here some very first shots with this monster.

La Fenêtre Soleil

Body: EOS3
Lens: 16-35F2.8L
Film: Fuji 400FT
My very first film shooting :D, scan from photos papers, that mean it look even better out there Big GrinBig GrinLiar

La Fenêtre Solei ( sunlight window) is very nice coffee shop at 135, Nam Ki Khoi Nghia road, Ho Chi Minh city. Ironic, despite of its French name, most of customers are from Japan and the menu’s written in English and Japanese only.
Unlike other glittering café in HCM City, you must go though an unnoticed small door and go up a dark, dirty stair to get in. I only see that style in Hanoi’s café before. But unlike Hanoi cafés, it has a big room with high ceiling and 2 very big east-bound windows, make the room full of sunlight in the morning. It’s the main reason I add this one to my fav list (beside Cafe 51, Phan Boi Chau, Ha Noi). I’ll back here anytime I go to HCM City.
Highly recommended!

Good timber does not grow with ease
The stronger wind, the stronger trees
The further sky, the greater length
The more the storm, the more the strength.
By sun and cold, by rain and snow,
In trees and men good timbers grow.
